Board of European Students of Technology or BEST is an international students association, active in 33 European countries and 96 universities. We have over 3500 active members and reach over one million students just like you!
The vision of BEST is “Empowered diversity”. In short, this means we want European students of technology to become more internationally minded, improve their understanding of European cultures and develop their ability to work and volunteer in a global environment. We do this by organizing a large variety of events that everyone can join. There are courses, competitions, career related events and much more!
Travel abroad with IAAS
IAAS, The International Association of Students in Agricultural and related Sciences provides you the opportunity to do an internship abroad.
This is organized via the Exchange Program (ExPro) that’s part of IAAS.
Every student who studies at our faculty of bio science engineering has the opportunity to join !
The content of the internships IAAS offers differ in a wide range. For example you can choose to be an assistant at a farm or work in a company or research institution somewhere around the globe !
There is a wide range of countries to choose from. Within Europe you can travel to Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Germany and Spain and outside Europe Mexico, Indonesia, Togo and Nigeria are countries that offer internship places.
Agriculture in other countries can be very different then here in Belgium and ExPro offers you the opportunity to find this out ! The IAAS ExPro team will help you with your search for the internship that perfectly fits you in the country you wish to visit. You won’t be paid for the work you do during your internship but food and lodging will be covered. ExPro costs €110,- of wich you get €10,- back after your return when you’ve filled in the evaluation.
In the master phase you’ve the possibility to have an internship as a subject of 4 or 6 credits (depending on the length of the internship).You can do this internship here in Belgium but also abroad via the ExPro program. IAAS can help you with the procedure for this. The internship should fit the requirements of the course. If the internship is accepted as a course, you don’t need to pay the €110,-.
