If you’re reading this, it probably means that you’re going to spend some time in Leuven to study at our faculty of Bioscience Engineering. Well, I can only say: great choice!
Our enthusiastic student organization is called LBK, short for LandBouwKring. Literally translated, this means something like “circle of agriculture”. But really, we are so much more. The fields inside our faculty go from catalytic chemistry to environmental technology, from food science to forestry, and from agricultural studies to genome biotechnology. In short, a lot of interesting stuff!
But enough about the study part, let’s talk about the fun stuff...
Who are we?
We are the workgroup Internationaal. Our team consists of 14 motivated bioscience engineer students, namely Clara, Eva, Kevin, Lauren, Liezl, Margot, Nele, Phebe, Ruth, Robbe, Sander, Sandrien, Toon and Hanne, who leads the group. Most of us already did an exchange and we all had an great Erasmus experience ourselves. We’ll try to make you feel at home in our beautiful Leuven, and make your international experience an unforgettable one as well.
What do we do?
Firstly, take your agenda and write in red, bold letters orientation days: September 17th-21th.
Guided city tours, Dutch crash courses, international dinners, … In short, everything you need to have a great start of your stay in Leuven. Check the full program here.
Even more important is the welcome day at our faculty on 24th September. On this day you will get to know your study environment. So make sure you don't miss this.
There will also be an international week: November 12th- November 16th . More information about this and all our other events will follow. Just make sure you add yourself to our facebook group to keep up to date. Because you surely don’t want to miss a trip to Brussels or a beer tasting evening, a pub crawl, a real Belgian cantus (a typical singing and drinking coming together),…
So ask us all your questions, check our events and most importantly: enjoy your stay!
Hope to see you soon,
